Athlete Arc
A performance app for football squads, on the phone and the web
Players check in, test and journal on an iPhone app; coaches see the whole squad on the web and get each player's week drafted by Arc. Product, brand, film and site — all of it.
The product film, cut from real app screens. The squad in it is the app's demo squad.

The situation
Performance data in youth and semi-pro football lives in three places at once: a wellness form nobody fills in, a spreadsheet the coach updates on Sunday night, and the coach's memory. By the time a hamstring problem shows up in any of them, the player has already trained on it.
The tools that do this properly are built for professional clubs — a sports scientist, timing gates, force plates and a budget to match. A U18 coach has a phone, a squad and twenty minutes before training.
Athlete Arc is built for that coach. The player's side has to be fast enough to do every morning, and the coach's side has to say who needs attention today rather than hand over another chart.
What was built
- 01
A daily check-in that becomes a readiness score
Sleep, soreness and how the body feels, logged on the phone in the morning and turned into a readiness score out of 100, with the week's trend underneath it.
- 02
A jump test the phone measures
The countermovement jump is measured with the phone's own motion sensors — no force plate, no extra kit — or entered by hand. The coach sees each player against their own baseline, with a shaded band for normal variation so noise is not read as fatigue.
- 03
Sprint and fitness testing with benchmarks
Every test logged keeps a personal best, a monthly trend and a benchmark band from novice to elite, so a player can see what a tenth of a second is worth.
- 04
Training load the coach can act on
Acute-to-chronic load for every player on one chart — seven days against twenty-eight — so a player drifting out of the working band is visible before the session, not after.
- 05
A squad soreness map
Soreness reported by players rolls up onto a body map for the squad, with the muscles affecting the most players and the individuals at highest risk listed beside it.
- 06
Arc drafts the week; the coach sends it
Arc writes each player's week around the fixture — recovery, activation, match — and respects any restriction the coach has set. Every plan lands as a draft; nothing reaches a player until the coach pushes it.
- 07
Billing, brand and the film
Stripe subscriptions for coaches, solo athletes and teams with a fourteen-day trial, plus the identity, the marketing site and the product film above.
Where it landed
Athlete Arc runs in production: the iPhone app and the coach web app share one Supabase back end, billing runs through Stripe, and Arc's weekly programs are written through the Anthropic API.
The film above is cut from the app's real screens, and the loops under each feature are those screens' own cards. When the app changes, they are re-shot from it.

Thirty minutes. We’ll find where the work is leaking — unsold estimates, response time, or a database nobody has touched in three years — and what it would cost to fix. If it isn’t worth it yet, we’ll tell you that instead.
No sequence, no newsletter. One reply from the person who’d build it.
